Hypercar Avenue

UAE is known for its car fanatics. The Hypercar Avenue at the Dubai International Boat Show 2024 showcased some of the rarest supercars (or hypercars) of the world – some of which were worth more than 180 million AED!

These hypercars blended advanced technological innovations, stunning designs, bespoke luxuries, and peak performance. Some of the most exclusive automobiles showcased at DIBS 2024 included the Bugatti Chiron, McLaren Speedtail, and Pagani Huayra.

Proudly UAE

Strategically set between Hypercar Avenue and the Fishing Village, this special segment of DIBS 2024 put the local maritime legacy and innovation in the spotlight. Some of the top attractions of this section were:

  • Two new fishing boat launches by Al Suwaidi Marine (ASM) drew attention to the quality and local craftsmanship of UAE brands.
  • Al Fajer Marine launched the S-Class 90 and Sunrise 60 showcasing its advanced engineering and design capabilities.
  • Gulf Craft, another premier boat builder of the UAE, had as many as 15 vessels on display – marking Dubai’s growing significance as a superyacht market hub.

Major Yacht Sales Reported at DIBS 2024

Many exhibitors in the Dubai International Boat Show 2024 reported major sales. Althaus Yachts sold hull 19 in the Lamborghini 63 yacht series built by Tecnomar to a UAE expat. Sanlorenzo displayed three boats at the show and all of them were sold.

Gulf Craft sold multiple iconic vessels at the Dubai International Boat Show this year, including its award-winning Majesty Yachts, Nomad series, Silvercraft, and SilverCAT brands.

New Yachts Unveiled

Major yacht debuts at DIBS 2024 included the 50-metre custom wooden yacht Afra by Bush & Noble, which was promoted as the largest wooden superyacht in the world. Designed like a traditional Arab dhow boat, it featured impressive interiors with Italian furnishing.

The 25.3-metre Ferretti Yachts Riva Diva 82 yacht made her first public appearance at DIBS 2024 too. This flybridge yacht made heads turn with a range of design advancements, such as high gunwales with painted composite segments and fold-down bulwarks (which increased the yacht’s six-metre beam by about 50% extra space).

Tankoa and Nauta Design unveiled the renderings for a new 70-metre superyacht concept – Milano. It featured clean, elegant lines and was inspired by the hometown of Nauta Design – Milano (which is in Italy).

Overall, DIBS 2024 showcased over 1,000 marine brands, including 200 of the top yacht companies worldwide and 400 newcomers. The array of global and local marine brands and attractions it presents marked the ongoing international appeal of the event.
